UN Nuclear Watchdog’s Tehran Visit Sparks Hope Amid Tensions
A senior UN nuclear watchdog official, Massimo Aparo, held key talks in Tehran on Monday, the first high-level meeting since Iran paused its cooperation with the IAEA in June. Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi noted ongoing dialogue, though Iran raised concerns over the IAEA’s response to alleged attacks and demanded reforms. This follows Iran’s June suspension of ties, blaming Israel and the U.S. for strikes and scientist assassinations.
